Ashley Ziltz has been a name known around Bergen County Volleyball, but now it will be known at Springfield College in Springfield Massachusetts.
Ashley has committed to the next four years of her playing career to the Springfield Pride. Coached under Moira Long in her 8th season.
Springfield Volleyball and Coach Long has a long history of success. Within the last decade they made six trips to the NCAA Championship Tournament, including a trip to the Elite 8 in 2011. Last season with a 24-8 record they competed in the NCAA Division III Championship Second Round.
At Springfield College Ashley will be studying Athletic Training, she said, "I chose athletic training because I love athletics and the medical field so finding a major that had both was a dream come true."
Ashley started club volleyball 7th grade. Her freshman year she attended IHA and immediately started on the varsity team. However, she transfered back to her hometown to attend and play for Park Ridge High School where her career soared. She played on the varsity team sophomore through senior.
Ashley also was part of the Park Ridge Owls track team her junior year throwing javelan. She is a well rounded athlete.
